Your ceremony, your way – thoughtfully guided with heart

You're here because you want something different.

Not a one-size-fits-all ceremony read from a standardised script. Not a rushed job that could belong to any couple. You want a ceremony that feels like you – one that weaves your story, your values, your joy into every word.

That's exactly what I create.

I'm Roxanne, and I guide couples through their most meaningful moments with warmth, respect, and a genuine understanding of what makes your relationship unique. Whether you're planning an elegant celebration in a country manor, an intimate elopement by the coast, or a vibrant cultural fusion that honours both your heritages – I'm here to help you bring it to life.

Celebrations that feel authentically yours

The beauty of working with an independent celebrant is freedom. Freedom to choose your location – a traditional venue, a living room or garden, a glamping site, a historic hall, a lakeside at sunset. Freedom to choose the time of day or night that suits you. Freedom to blend traditions from different cultures. Freedom to include what matters and leave out what doesn't. Freedom to let your imagination run wild. There is no limit to what you can do.

Your ceremony should reflect who you are as individuals and as a couple. It should make your guests feel something. It should be a moment you'll want to revisit again and again.

I take the time to truly understand your story – how you met, what you've built together, what you value most. Then I craft a ceremony that captures all of it, delivered with warmth and presence on your big day.

Naming & Welcoming Ceremonies

A naming ceremony is a beautiful way to welcome a child into your family and community, celebrate their arrival, and surround them with love and promises of support.
These aren't just for babies – they're for adopted children, older children, blended families, or anyone marking a significant name change at any stage of life. Non-religious but deeply meaningful, naming ceremonies reflect your values, your family structure, and your hopes for the future.

I create ceremonies you'll want to revisit

Your ceremony isn't just for the day itself. The words we craft together, the rituals we include, the promises you make – these are things you can return to throughout your marriage. I help you create meaningful touchstones for your relationship.

I bring cultural awareness and sensitivity

As an Afro-Caribbean woman who's made the UK my home for 30 years, I understand the beauty and complexity of blending cultures. I love working with couples who want to honour their heritage whilst creating something new together.

A bit about my journey

I came to celebrancy with 20 years experience of working in the public sector, in mental health service development, clinical commissioning, and data protection regulation. Roles that taught me about compassion, about really listening to understand what people need, and about helping them to make a plan or find a solution that’s best for them.

But I always knew there was more I wanted to give in more creative ways and with more autonomy than it’s ever been possible for me to do within the formal structures of my work roles. I love listening to people’s stories and having freedom to give them the time to share their stories. And I love inspiring people to reach for the things they dream of.

I procrastinated about becoming a celebrant for several years. The turning point came for me after experiencing several celebrant led life events where I was able to see the profound impact this work can have on couples and families. It felt like I was being shown my path and

I finally took the leap. I trained with the Academy of Modern Celebrancy, qualified in July 2025, and I've not looked back

This work allows me to do what I do best – support people during their most important moments, celebrate their stories, and bring a little more light into the world.

Covering Cheshire and beyond

I'm based in Knutsford, Cheshire, and cover all of Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, and Shropshire. I'm also happy to travel further afield across the UK and internationally for the right celebration.

Some of my favourite local venues include Tatton Park, hidden country estates, industrial Manchester spaces, and the beautiful coastal settings of Merseyside. Wherever your celebration takes you, I'd love to be part of it.
